Homemade Cinnamon Walnut Milk!

imageThis was super easy and delicious, even my 3-year old liked it (she’s super picky so I always feel good when somethi she super picky so I always feel good when I press but approval no passes her tastebud-approval)!  Here’s my recipe, which makes about 16oz of walnut milk:

Soak one cup of raw (preferably organic) walnuts in a glass bowl overnight.  Use enough water to cover the walnuts plus a little extra (I used 3 cups).  In the morning,  drain and rinse the walnuts, then place them in a blender and add 3 cups of filtered water  and two cinnamon sticks. Blend on high for about a minute or until you feel the cinnamon sticks and walnuts are finely ground.  Strain the liquid through a nut milk bag  (this can be purchased cheaply online or at most health food stores and organic grocery stores).  Use a large glass bowl to catch the liquid and squeeze every bit out of the nut milk bag. Store in a tight container, preferably a glass jar, in the fridge. So easy, healthy, and delicious!
